Sea+Land

Living in the Margaret River region, in the south-west corner of Australia, Elizabeth has an inexhaustible source of natural beauty to draw upon, from the wild Indian Ocean to forest, bush and farmland.

Sea

One day in 2013, Elizabeth Whiteman blew in to Margaret River in Western Australia, and felt right at home on the edge of this huge continent with a vast horizon before her. It is so different to her European origins, yet inexplicably familiar all the same.
With nothing but the Indian Ocean between her and Africa, Elizabeth draws on a never-ending inspiration from the raw beauty of this wild coastline.

Land

While Elizabeth’s eyes are drawn to the ocean, her hands and feet are firmly planted in the ground. Fingernails full of paint and dirt, along with painting the surrounding bush and farmland, she creates ornamental gardens and grows herbs and vegetables.
